TUMSIFU NA TUMSHUKURU MUNGU JUMAMOSI YA LEO ASANTE MUNGU KWA WEMA WAKO;

Nawatakieni Jumamosi njema iliyojaa matumaini

THE LIFE OF MY BROTHER AND MY BEST FRIEND AND " MY TWIN" JOAKIM ALOIS TURUKA WHO DIED ON SEPTEMBER 22 2012:

MR AND MRS JOAKIM ALIOS TURUKA

Revelation 14:13
Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them."

As a celebrate the death of my dear and best brother and " my twin" today I know that whatever life throws at me, even if it hurts me, just I am strong and fight through it. I Remember, strong walls shake but never collapse.

  • Dear Lord be my courage at this difficult time, let me not be afraid for you are in control

  • Dear lord my I never pray out of hypocrisy but out of truth even if it shall reveal the darkness in my own heart.

  • Dear Lord  I know that there will be a way even if there seems to be no way. May I never forget that there is nothing impossible with faith!
I have with great faith that, God promised us through II Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"

At this difficult time in our life we forget what the bible teaches us; Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest or Psalm 55:22 Throw every burden upon God. Psalm 68:19 Blessed be Our God who daily carries the load for us. Psalm 56:9 This I well know, that God is for me.

Today as I remember my brother I recall Jesus teachings when he said to his disciples: from John 14.1-6 'Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going.' Thomas said to him, 'Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?' Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'

As human being when we are facing the death of love one we keep crying all time, St Paul tells us there is no need to cry1 Thessalonians 4.13-17; We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died. For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will by no means precede those who have died. For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel's call and with the sound of God's trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord for ever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

The book of Proverbs 3:5 reminds us at this difficult time that "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And he shall direct your paths."

                                  MY LATE BROTHER

                                             THIS IS ME

AS I CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF MY BROTHER AND MY BEST FRIEND JOAKIM PLEASE  JOIN ME IN READING AND UNDERSATANDING THE FOLLOWING VERSES IN GLORIFYING GOD’S GREAT JOB IN OUR LIFE

Psalms 100  wants us instead of crying for our love one we should "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the Earth Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; We are his people and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanks-giving, and his courts with praise.  Give thanks to him, bless his name. For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations."

The prophet Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary, They will walk and not be faint."

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44  It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.

Isaiah 25:8  He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.

Matthew 5:4 God blesses those people who grieve. They will find comfort!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.

Isaiah 51:11 Those who have been ransomed by the LORD will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.

John 14:1-4 Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.

John 6:40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.
I believe that By dying Jesus opened the gates of life for those who believe in You; do not let our brother Joakim be parted from You, but by Your glorious power give him light, joy, and peace in heaven where You live for ever and ever.

Rest in the peace of  Christ, God is our hope and strength .

                                        AMEN

WHY ARE WE JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER?

God help us to forgive those who judge others at the begining, because they don't   really know them and they are not aware of the beauty that each soul possesses by your Grace

WHY WE HESITATE TO SAY NO?

  • START SAYING NO in a warm and friendly manner ;
  •  We don’t have sometimes guts to say no.
  • We always want to be liked

I think learning to say no to people is one of the best things we can do for ourselves, yet too many people is difficult. But we forget that people will like us  better and respect us more if we  say no when it's appropriate. In day to day life when you say no to someone you are letting them know that you have boundaries. You are showing that you respect yourself and at the same time it's easy to   gain respect from others because you are telling the truth behind the scene.

We need to say yes only when we have the time and true ability to do a job or fulfill the request;  the problem comes when we keep  saying  yes to everything; this can lead to  performing a bad job at everything. It is true that saying yes to everything we stress ourselves  out by overloading ourselves, and we experience increased stress when we  realize we cannot accomplish it.

Saying no  calls for a viable ability of being strong and courageous. Thinking everything has to be yes makes us avoid people, avoid life and being cowardice of our own life.  Eventually, failure to say no leads abdication, resentment, and cynicism.

I belief that It is ok to say no when somebody is asking you to step outside your true responsibilities and outside your comfort zone to take on a task that is dangerous or one that will overload you and affect your reputation.

From my perspective, Life is made up of good days and bad days, happiness and sorrow, and success and failure. And saying no should be like that, it should not be a big deal; In other words, it's not what life does to us, it's what we do in life that counts. The reason this is true is because of the natural law what scientifically they called "cause and effect." If we take care of the causes, in most cases the effects will take care of themselves.

We read in the Bible in Galatians 6:7, "Be ye not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap." The bible reminds us that  Rather, we permit other factors to influence our decisions and for the time being, forget that sooner or later we will reap the consequences of our actions.

Failure to say no is a product of our habit? Since most of our important values and habits are established when we were young for saying yes to everything; “maybe” since then we were not trained to say no; everything was yes; and if you said  no you were seen as an unrespectful; because our values, attitudes and habits, in most cases are the consequences of our actions.

As one writer wrote “The ability to say no leads to the issue of ownership ask yourself who are you?  Who owns you? always try to be yourself when you say no or yes.remember that   ; Sometimes if you don't say no you can end up hurting yourself. The challenge is in learning to say no without offending others and losing friends. Remember that a refusal is more readily accepted when given in a warm and friendly manner

Therefore the challenge is to discern when to say yes and when to say no. When both responses flow from clear thinking will be viewed as more trustworthy, and we will enjoy our comfort zone.

According to St   Paul  when we fulfill the promise of God we need to say yes "In Jesus Christ, every one of God's promises is yes." It was our Lord himself who said, "Let your word be yes, yes, or no, no; anything else comes from the evil one." Those who have traveled his way have never found it wanting.

Lord let me learn to say no; let me do something just not to be able to please people

HEAVENLY FATHER BLESS OUR FATHER MZEE BENEDICT KAPINGA AS HE CELEBRATES HIS 77th BIRTHDAY.

Dear our father Mzee Kapinga we are  so glad to see you're doing better, and I sincerely hope the 77th birthday wishes find you in good health.'  "May God continue to bless you with health and long life" because we know that You are truly a gift from God, and deserve to be celebrated. We as children we know the Lord placed you in our  life for a reason. You have been a wonderful friend, and we pray nothing but the best for you on your birthday."

As we celebrate your birthday we remember the book of Psalm 92:12-14 "The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing."

Our dear father this is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24).  Despite some of us are far from home but for those who are around you as Luke 15:23 says Let them have a feast and celebrate."

We as the family we join 1 Corinthians 1:4"I always thank God for you because of His grace given you in Christ Jesus."
We as children we promise you as the book of Deut 5:16  teaches "Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the Lord your God is giving you."

We believe as Job 12:12 says "Wisdom is with aged men, And with length of days, understanding." Therefore "This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24

Dear Lord, please protect and guide him as he continues along the path you’ve chosen for him. Give him the courage to follow in your light, and feel your love wherever he goes.

Make his 77 years continue to make him stronger and give him the strength to make good decisions in the coming year. Keep her free from illness and sadness, for she is a truly good person who deserves happiness and success in all aspects of life.

We know that life is like a book. With each new chapter, we learn and grow towards what you would have us be. Bless our father Mzee Benedict Kapinga now on this day, and in the future.

Numbers 6:24-26 The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.'

Ruth 2:12 "May the LORD reward your work, and your wages be full from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge."

Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."

Proverbs 9:11 For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.

Ecclesiastes 11:8 However many years a man may live, let him enjoy them all.

Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

In your name we as the family we pray,

Amen.
