SUNDAY MEDITATION

It takes more courage to reveal insecurities than to hide them, more strength to relate to people than to dominate them, more 'manhood' to abide by thought-out principles rather than blind reflex. Toughness is in the soul and spirit, not in muscles and an immature mind. - Alex Karras

This statement is very true God has wonderful promises and loves us with an everlasting love:  Abraham had to wait to see his prophesied son for 25 years:

All the time when we are asking and looking for God’s help we forget that God has all wisdom, purity and love and has the best interest at heart for us:

 The problem is when we reach that point where we think we cannot wait further. It is actually a mind set, a misconception to think that God is not going to help to fulfill what I have asked for;

Another wrong mindset that can become a stronghold is to think that we have to face certain difficulties with the same spiritual resources we have in the present. By doing that automatically we invite fear inside and we know that fear is not from God! No, there will always be a new set of spiritual muscles so to speak if we are to go through tough times. The more difficult the circumstance, the greater the strength we'll be given to overcome it!

Logically wrong expectations lead to frustration especially when we have waited for a long time and still nothing happens; As Saint Paul said "the weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds" 2 Corinthians 10:4.

While the book of (Deuteronomy 20:20) until the enemy's stronghold falls we are encouraged don't give up and we are reminded that  we need to continually build those principles  against our enemy by standing firm in our faith, spiritual toughness will flee Devil away and help us not to use muscles in judgments.
