BIBLE TEACHINGS VS PRUDENT MAN/GOVERNMENT

LORD HAVE MERCY ON US WITH ALL THESE EXPLOSIVES

When we call in our minds the current events of explosives at Gongo La Mboto. We relate the incident with Exodus 3:7 when The LORD said, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt, (Tanzania) I have heard them crying out because of their problems (blasts), and I am concerned about their suffering.

Proverbs 9 teaches us that if we confront a wise man, he will love us for it. So, anger shared with a mature friend or mate will end up bringing us closer together. But Proverbs 9 also teaches us that if we rebuke a fool he will hate us for it, so don’t waste your time with him. Share that anger with God, a counselor or your prayer partner and turn vengeance over to God and protect yourself from evil person;
The question which we need to ask ourselves at this particular moment when our nation in a great loss of our fellow citizens is that are we prudent? (The government) The bible teaches us that "A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it." (NIV) The King James says the prudent man "hideth himself." The blast explosive is a problem that carries the potential for emergency, and because it is a problem we can see coming, I believe we are being prudent to prepare for the emergency days ahead.

Troubles concern us against our government, not just because hardship itself is a burden, but there is no mutual caring to the citizens, government is too busy with few people who becoming richer and richer. The end result is for citizens blaming God for giving us this kind of government we lose faith in Him, or begin to doubt His goodness and mercy. As Job's wife said, "Curse God and die" (Job 2:9). We believe that “Leadership gains authority and respect when the voiceless poor are treated fairly.” Proverbs 29:14;

Therefore for us today we look our leadership differently in a way that if we want our nation to prosper “A nation will prosper when its ruler is mature, and its leaders don't party too much.” Ecclesiastes. 10:17 and may be that more serious do our leaders a truly believes who apply golden rule? As Proverbs 29:18 says “A nation without God's guidance is a nation without order. Happy are those who keep God's law!”Or “When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily; but with honest, sensible leaders there is stability.” Proverbs 28:2

Therefore as we still think about what happened on Wednesday and our fellow citizens died in explosive at Gongo la Mboto area, we are still keeping praying that God grant us tolerance against our leaders and bless our nation and grant us a government with wise leadership to run things, so that we can be glad. As Proverbs 29:2 and 11:14 teaches us “Be a good citizen. All governments are under God. Insofar as there is peace and order, it's God's order. So live responsibly as a citizen.” Romans 13:1 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chron. 7:14; therefore I concur with Reinhold Niebuhr in this prayer“
“God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference”.

SUNDAY MESSAGE: Cast Your Cares

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (I Peter 5:7).

A strong Massage from Joel and Victoria

God cares so much about you today. Not only does He love and care about you, He cares about the things that concern you as well. If you have concerns, worry or anxiety about something in your life today; finances, relationships, your job or anything else, know that your Heavenly Father already has a plan to take care of those things for you. It’s a good plan, and He wants to show Himself strong on your behalf. The scripture reminds us that the lilies of the field and the birds of the air are cared for, how much more will your Heavenly Father take care of you? Make the decision today to cast all of your anxiety on Him by choosing to trust that He is going to take care of you. Refuse to dwell on your problems and don’t allow them to steal your peace and joy any longer. Instead, choose to meditate on His Word and confess God’s promises over your life. As you cast your cares on Him, you’ll experience His peace and joy, and you will live the life of blessing He has in store for you.
Let us apply this message as we celebrate and live with Christ this Sunday 02/13/11
Amen

MY REFLECTION ABOUT JESUS

My name is Rose Emmanuel Turuka, I am in a junior class at Kalamazoo Christian High School; my perspective about Jesus as a child and now are so different. As a child I always imagined Jesus to be this tall, big guy who held the world in his hands and had magical powers because I was told he is everywhere. But then as I grew up, having bible classes and catechism, I started to get it though it wasn’t clear enough for me. I realized when we are young we take things so directly; our minds are not matured enough for us to process the data. My catechism teacher used to tell me about the trinity and I was so confused that about the whole thing of 3 in 1, but as time went on my mind matured and I got the concept and at that point, God was really complicated to me.

                           The most defining moments of my walk with Jesus was when I got different ideas and things about him from different people with different faith. When I was 10-11 years old, most of my friends were Muslims and they had a different on Jesus. They would tell me things that I never heard from church or home and they always said they were correct which made me angry cause I thought I knew Jesus very well and that I was the one who was correct and not them. So when I argued I would try to call on Jesus and tell him they don’t believe in me, show them the truth but then it never happened and I would think that he doesn’t want to hear me but I was wrong, it needs patience.

                            As I mature I got to understand him even more. My parents share the same faith with me. They brought me up in that faith manner and we all stick together in it. We pray, Believe in Jesus and he is always our priority. I have got a lot of questions in my teen age hood. But then at first I wanted to understand everything about Jesus and it wasn’t until our pastor told us this story that changed me. He told us once, there was a priest who wanted to know everything about Jesus, and as he was taking a stroll down the beach one day, he met a boy who had dug a small hole by the shore and was now transferring the water from the ocean to the small hole he had dug. He asked the little boy what he was doing and the boy told him that he was trying to collect all the water from the ocean to the hole he dug. The priest told him that that was impossible it’s then that the boy told him that’s why you can’t know Jesus the way you want to know him. And he disappeared. The priest then knew it was a protection for some sort of a reason that you can’t know Jesus the way you want to.

                                The bible classes, catechism helped me a lot to start knowing much more about Jesus. Because as I started knowing Jesus just as Jesus until now that I know him well. Even Bible study that we often do at our school helps us to know Jesus more and to be true to ourselves and be able to correct our mistakes and start over well. It gives us the chance to get deeper with God and commit ourselves to him. So my walk with Jesus through this several times has been great. And this is the Jesus I knew and still getting to know.

ARE WE HUMBLE: SUNDAY MASSAGE

According to Philippians 2: 7(Jesus) He gave up everything and became a slave, when he became like one of us. 8Christ was humble. He obeyed God and even died on a cross. 9Then God gave Christ the highest place and honored his name above all others. 10So at the name of Jesus everyone will bow down, those in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. 11And to the glory of God the Father everyone will openly agree, "Jesus Christ is Lord!"

Characteristics of humble person;

Humble person is ready to admit when he/she is wrong

Humble person is Able to say he/she is sorry

Humble person is Not afraid to ask for help when he/she needs it

Humble person is Patient when misunderstood

Humble person is Not fearful of what others think about them

Humble person is Confident in who they are and don’t feel a need to prove themselves

Humble person is Teachable and willing to learn from their mistakes

Humble person is Not judgmental of others or backbiters

Humble person is Not easily offended

By going through all these principals and by using self reflection, how can you judge yourself? Are you humble or not
