Moses, Moses. , “Here I am.” “Remove the sandals from your feet,
for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”
As
we celebrate the grace of new day, it should stick in our minds that God is
calling us every day to remove our shoes in our daily life, not through the
bushes which Moses experienced, but through our body; we know that our body is
a temple of the Holy Spirit. By removing our shoes we agree with the teaching
of the Holy Bible and to live our life according to God’s law.
What
we need to ask ourselves:
- Do we have unfulfilled demands that separate us from God?
- Do we have hidden angers that set us apart from divinity?
- Do we have secret sins that shame us into thinking we are unworthy of God?
- Are we wearing shoes, sandals that keep us from experiencing the God who knows us, who understands us, who would enter into us, and who would free us, so that we might become and experience true holiness?
We
need to remember that God is calling us to encounter the holy. God
is calling us to experience the holy. And God is calling us to share the
holy. What will be our response when we hear God calling? Will we
respond, “Here am I?” and clear our body to allow God to enter?
In
other way taking off the shoes is the sign of confession which we need to do to our Almighty God in a daily
basis and keep our body clean
and put on the shoes of the gospel of love and peace. By doing that we will be
able handle the shield of faith, and the helmet of salvation, and the sword of
the Spirit, which is the word of God for our salvation.
LET
CELEBRATE THE GRACE OF EACH NEW DAY FOR FULFILLING THE CALL OF REMOVING OUR
SHOES AS A SIGN OF WELCOMING GOD IN OUR LIFE IN ENJOYING HIS HOLYNESS
