JOSHUA 8:1 THIS BOOK OF LAW; SHALL NOT DEPART FROM YOUR MOUTH:

 

• IT Will Give us prosperity

• IT Will Give us good success in the God-given task that lies ahead of us

• IF You Meditate upon the Word of God by rehearsing its thoughts over and over in it will help you to understand its implications for the situations of OUR life.

Always God does not promise us any miracles of wisdom. Rather, if we read and meditated on the “book of the law,” then we would act wisely. 

The phrase Do Not Depart exists to help us  stay close to Jesus.

This verse encouraged us to cling to and  not depart from  the Word of Life.

 

The book will help us recognize   God and  reveal the Truth of it to us, over time.

We must be consonant to the law of God; upon all occasions we as the people must speak according to this rule,

As the leader you need to make sure that the people observed the law in everything they do in their life.

God has given us the promise if we do so, our lives will prosper and our understanding will be opened to wisdom and intelligence.

The Book of LAW if we meditate it accordingly demonstrates: practical lessons that show the fruit of obedience.

 

If we obey the Lord blessings of obedience, abundance and peace will flood our hearts and mark our daily lives.

Obedience is the key that opens the door to God’s abundance in our daily lives.  When we obey God He blesses us.

Faithful meditation on God’s word and faithful obedience of that Word brings the blessing of God into our daily lives,

So often we do not receive the blessings of God because we fail to ask for them. A very important lesson for us to learn is we need to learn to ask through prayer.

Therefore Joshua insists us that “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success”.

 

Joshua teaches us continually and completely devote ourselves to the Lord. We must seek the Lord in every decision we make. It is important for us to seek the Lord full heartily and be dedicated to Him. If we do so we will have a rich inheritance.

Is God looking for Perfection of our Life?

The simple answer is “ NO”

God  Is  Not  Looking  For  Perfection, because No one lives a perfect life, and God knows this  very well as the Centurion who came to Jesus; desiring for his servant to be healed. Matt. 8:5-10: “When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to them that  followed,  Verily  I  say  unto  you,  I  have  not  found  so  great  faith, no,  not  in  Israel.”

What do we mean by perfection?

By perfection, we mean to live without ever making any mistakes, without ever doing any wrong whatsoever, never breaking a single one of God’s holy commandments, and to do everything we do, in perfect accordance with God’s holy Word, or the Holy Bible or the wholly book.

Our first father Adam and Eve; the first human beings to ever be created; failed to live a perfect life:  with all the privileges, they yielded unto the deception of Satan, as soon as they were tempted by him. We read in Gen. 3:1-6:

So what is God looking from us? Out of our imperfection God’s looks how humble we are before Him, more in faith as the Centurion did. The only person to live upon the earth who has great faith, is a subject of discussion,

It is true that there has never been a single human being created by God Almighty, who has ever lived a life of perfection Only Jesus, was able to live perfectly, and never break any one of God’s commandments. Therefore, Jesus Christ came to bear the sins of the whole world, so that through his name, we could all become righteous in the eyes of the God and be able to live a perfect life.

Life isn’t perfect, and yet all too often we demand that others are perfect. When we make mistakes, we dearly hope for forgiveness and grace.

THE CHALLENGES OF CRITICISM AND THE WAY FOWARD

We often become emotionally disturbed during a disagreement, or an argument, and our personality usually feels hurt, demeaned and in danger. Hence we destroy our own happiness, clarity and health and often behave in ways which we later regret.

The other person might be correct in his or her observations and criticism. In this case we would benefit by admitting it and making the proper adjustment in our behavior. We have everything to gain by listening and evolving through others comments. What prevents us is the belief that we are not lovable if we are not perfect. Thus, we do not want to see or admit our faults. When we realize that we are worthy of love and respect even when we are not perfect or right, then we will be able to look at our faults.

The other person might be wrong. In this case, it is his or her projection, and we need not be affected by these misconceptions or projections.

One solution would be simply not to react in one way or the other at first, but to reflect upon what has been said for some time so as to evaluate whether or not it is true.

We need not feel hurt, angry, defend ourselves, prove ourselves, or attack.

We can simply thank the other for this feedback and tell him or her that we will think about this observation and will gradually come to our conclusions, and if necessary, make changes.

Although it is hard but we should view the situation as an opportunity to look within and be our own judge

How we can go about handling such situation?

The golden rule here is that; Stay Calm: When people criticize you and say something that is totally unfair, focus on staying calm and not emotionally reacting to them.  Don’t allow the situation to escalate and suck you in deeper because that will make your honest evaluation of their criticism and the return to your peace of mind takes longer. 

Don’t be negative about the person; Find a way to Have Good Thoughts About he/she. Think 5 good things about the person who criticized you. 

A good advice is that Survey Yourself Do all you can to see things from their perspective and ask yourself if there is anything you could have done better.  Be open minded and honest while doing this exploration.  It is okay if you can see some truth in what they are saying.  It just means this is one of those times you get to learn and grow.

Despite someone arguing against if your ideas are true, the Truth Trumps reflect on the fact that you have followed your own truth and done what you know is right. There is nothing better than that.

Criticism becomes a reaction of disappointment, because their expectations in others have been crushed.

The Christian’s tongue should never be used for anything but good. “Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word, nor unwholesome or worthless talk (ever) come out of your mouth; but only such speech as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God’s favor) to those who hear it” (Eph. 4:29 The Amplified Bible)

How criticism should be handled according to the Bible?

When we make the wrong decisions we must accept our mistakes and apologize. The way we handle criticism is crucial. As Christians we must not become defensive or react in anger. We are called to be patient and wise when we deal with disagreements and conflict. We must listen carefully and respond lovingly. Our response to criticism must be done in a godly manner. As Christians we must accept our mistakes and trust God to set things right

Wait for your gut reaction to pass before doing anything; let your emotions disappear, so you don’t take the criticism personally and become defensive

Keep your mouth shut; listen, don’t defend

Discuss the person’s points; keep discussing the issue politely by asking questions and externalize the criticism more between the parties.

1 Peter 2:23

• When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

Joshua 1:9

• Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

• A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.

Colossians 3:13

• Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Therefore criticism is part and parcel of our life given that;

If no one is criticizing you, you aren’t doing very much.

Criticism is a fact of life; the more you try to do, the more significant your efforts, the more you will be criticized. 

Criticism is crucial for personal improvement; it’s hard when we take it personally.

 Akizungumza na waandishi wa habari jana, alisema hali hiyo inatokana na kusumbuliwa na magonjwa mbalimbali ambayo ni presha, miguu, magoti kujaa maji na kukosa usingizi kwa muda mrefu hivyo kujisikia kizunguzungu na tayari amewahi kuanguka zaidi ya mara nne.

Alisema jamii inayomtazama inamuona yupo kawaida lakini ana matatizo makubwa ya kiafya kwa muda mrefu ila alikuwa akijitahidi kufanya kazi za kitume hali ambayo imechangia afya yake kuendelea

 

kuwa dhoofu. 

Aliongeza kuwa, tatizo la afya yake ni la muda mrefu hivyo ni bora astaafu mapema kabla ya kupoteza kumbukumbu ili aweze kumpa Baba Mtakatifu muda wa kutafuta Askofu mwingine ambaye ataweza kuongoza jimbo hilo.

“Nimeamua kujiuzulu kwa manufaa ya Wakatoliki wote, Jimbo Kuu la Songea na jamii kwa ujumla ili niweze kupatiwa matibabu kwani nikiendelea kung’ang’ania uongozi, hasara yake ni kubwa sana kwa jamii ninayoiongoza.

“Namuomba Mungu anipe afya njema ili niweze kutoa ushauri zaidi kwa waumini, Mapadri na Serikali,” alisema.

Amewahimiza waumini na viongozi wa dini, kuendelea kuwa na ushirikiano, kuacha tofauti za ukabila ambazo zinachangia kurudisha nyuma maendeleo ya Mkoa huo kwani ukabila ni hatari na unaweza kuwagawa, kukwamisha maendeleo.

Alisema yeye anatambua kuwa, watu wengi wameshtuka kutokana na uamuzi aliochukua hasa kwa kuzingatia kuwa, alikuwa akifanya kazi zake bila wasiwasi.

Amemtaka Askofu ajaye, kuhakikisha anaendeleza mema aliyoanzisha hususani katika nyanja ya elimu, afya, maji, mazingira ili kuwaletea wananchi maendeleo na kuahidi kuendelea kutoa ushirikiano na ushauri.

Mkazi wa Mkoa huo, Watson Nganiwa, alisema Mtega atakumbukwa kutokana na kuwajengea uwezo wananchi wa j i t e g eme e n a k u a c h a kutegemea wafadhili, kuhimiza wafanye kazi kwa bidii si kutegemea misaada.

Alikuwa akishiriki shughuli mbalimbali za kijamii, kiserikali na kuwashirikisha viongozi wa Serikali pamoja na kukemea maovu miongoni mwa jamii bila woga.

 W a n a n c h i w e n g i wamempongeza kwa uamuzi aliochukua na kumtakia afya njema ili aweze kupona, kuendelea kutoa ushauri na kuwataka viongozi wengine kuiga mfano wake.

Mtega amelitumikia Jimbo la Iringa kwa miaka sita na baadaye Jimbo la Songea miaka 22 hivyo amekuwa askofu kwa muda wa miaka 28, Kiongozi wa Idara ya Elimu katika Baraza Kuu la Maaskofu na Msimamizi wa kitume katika majimbo nane.

HOW CAN WE INTEGRATE GOD’S CREATION AND JOB SATISFACTIONS?

Work is part of the God’s creation. To be a good worker is therefore a blessing;

God wants us to find meaning, purpose and fulfillment in any kind of work we are talented in our workplaces. This is possible if only we are going to integrate godly principles in our jobs;

God reminds us that our work is in his hands although sometimes it is hard and frustrating, still we need to be thankful.

The parable of the talents shows that God is still asking us to be fruitful and productive. This parable presents a clear demand from God for a return, and the greatest return often exposes us to the greatest risk.

10 (TEN) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES;

1. Know that we are anointed for the job or position we now hold. God uses ordinary circumstances as a training ground to perfect our character. 
2. Don't expect to be appreciated. God values humility and servant hood, not pride and entitlement. 
3. Embrace opportunities for change. May we reach the stage of maturity when we are no longer surprised by change? 

4. Do the job well while remembering the vision. The secret to performing your duties well where you are is to maintain a vision of where you're headed. 

5. Don't let the environment get inside us. To counter bad attitudes, behavior, and gossip, maintains prayer and Bible study. 

6. Increase our capacity to work with difficult personalities. Too often we only try to fit in and connect with others similar to us. 

7. Where we are now is not where we are going. Be peaceful while progressive…. 

8. Achieve optimal results with minimal confusion. We spend too much time trying to compensate for our weaknesses rather than capitalizing on our strengths. 

9. Do not pledge allegiance to cliques and groups. The enemy tempts us with the security of the group and the approval of others. 

10. Keep our song near us. Spend time in God's presence. Study His Word, offer up prayer, and look deep inside yourself to call up your song—praise and worship Him.

GOD BLESS US AS WE CONTINUE WORKING HARD; AND BE HONEST AND TRUE TO ONE ANOTHER;
